Minzu Hotel

The Minzu Hotel (Beijing minzu fandian) is within walking distance of Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City and, in a near locale, a few of the State Ministries! It is a fairly good four star, considering its location and the numerous facilities, and is with a not bad accessibility, 4km from the railway station and 45km from the airport.

There are a total of 520 rooms and suites here, including standard/deluxe rooms, superior suites, executive suites, deluxe suites and even executive floors for the business traveler. The rooms all have satellite TV, IDD telephone and mini bar.

The hotel also has a good variety of extra facilities. Professional services include a business center equipped with internet access, conference rooms, fax, photocopying, and secretarial services, and a travel desk that can provide information as well as the booking of train tickets and tours. For entertainment the Minzu has 8 bowling lanes, a sauna, a beauty salon, bike rental services and fitness facilities.

There are altogether five restaurants here serving regional Chinese and Western food. For a strange experience here try the Turkish BBQ restaurant that provides barbecue and traditional Turkish dancing. The Four Season Restaurant is probably the best of the Chinese restaurants here, with Huai Yang, Sichuan and Shandong food.
